it is planned that the new software version for the UFS 910 should be available by August 15, 2009.

One of the features is faster zapping and other bug fixes.

Hopefully it will not be postponed, because it did get delayed several times

Personally I would wait using it when it's released, until the AAF team modified it, so you can run FTP & a softcam. So it would be a good basic "startup-image". Imho the original firmware offers a better picture quality then the Enigma2 Images, so if you only like to use the basic functions & use the UFS910 only for watching HD channels hassle-free then these kind of Images are fine.

any inside info if the release will be the date kathrein announced?
Or its the same old no release just another beta

im looking foward to this release as well.as webmaster said,original firmware is the best for picture quality and not e2.pq is very important to me and that's the reason i have not smashed up this receiver as it could be a big headache to use at times especially with the original firmware.hopefully the new release would address most of the issues

It seems to have SAME size and date as the 6.7.2009 released beta version of 2.00 ....

Personally this "upgrade" is a huge disapointement, because it's still a big mystery why they still didn't implement the eagerly awaited diseqc 1.1/1.2 functions, because the almost similar twin receiver the UFS 922 supports this from day one!
