Installed this last night and everything is working fine, got downloads and the blue panel now just waiting to see if it is picking up the HD channels on Thor.
Got to say this is super stable compared to 356, now if AAF can only find a way to put the box in "light" standby instead of "deep" then it would be nigh on perfect.

I was really excited about the media player and divx but I dont seem to be able to add a new directory to it on screen and I see in network setup you can activate samba and upnp but where can I configure them?

OK on the Thor HD front I am receiving Nat Geo and Voom but nothing else and a manual scan isn't picking them up either.
I have signal on 12015 using satfinder but 11938 is not listed on my box.

Anybody else having anymore luck?

I am also trying to pickup on thor - still on 356 ,
Will try later 439 today .
I have found that the softcam is also a factor
For exmaple NATGEO HD used to work ok with MBOX connecting to GBOX .
Lately it only works when I connect to CCCAM with IncubusCamd .
I will also try to reinstall 356 and the new 439 and see .
I think that some Freuencies on Thor are not so stable with kathi and MBOX both.
Check this link for complete channels list in each freq :
http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/canaldigital.html
These are the buggy 30000 :
*************
12130 H
tp 22
SR 30000
FEC 3/4
*************
12015 H
tp 16
SR 30000
FEC 3/4
*************
You are getting NAT GEO HD and VOOM , because they are on this freq :
12188 V
tp 25
SR 25000
FEC 3/4
**************
You are also supposed to get these too :
11938 H
tp 12
SR 25000
FEC 3/4
*************
I also think that doing a scan acctually even messes it more .
Setup your Tuner Setup first and theN copy a downloaded list .
I recommend "Cajt@n MOTOR 45E-45W DM800" (01/11/2008).
I will copy my downloaded bouquet list and copy it to E2 again .

There is a "light" standby-mode since 356.

Got it running here, but i don't know the menu-path by heart.
Additionally I've put that light standby-mode on the Power-button of the remote control by modifying keymap.xml, so everything work's fine for me.

Turning on the box takes about 1 second now!

You can find additional information for that on AAF board (in German only).

Not so sure that a scan messes it up even more, have used plenty of channel lists in the past that have messed things up even more particuarly because they are out of date on some of the settings for transponders even though they claim to be that days or weeks brand new list.

Also I just do not see how a scan would mess it up, if the settings are correct initially then there should be no problems, however I will bear in mind the list you have suggested for future reference.

By the way are you getting the channels on 11938?

Thanks Rudi

Well unfortunately my German is poor at best so if the way comes to mind or a copy of your keymap would be appreciated.

What I wrote about Channel Scannig was just an observation .
But regardless of E2 i Did notice that some time Kathi doen't write the correct freq ,
Some time 2hz more or less and running several scans some time duplicate the same channels that way , the channel list I recommended was checked by me at least on thor and found to be updated and exactly as it shows in lyngsat .
I will do more tests with MGCAMD 1.29 and Kahtrein 1.06 with same gbox server.
Yes no problem with :11938
The higher you go it gets less stable (28000 - 30000)

Will like to see the keymap too .

* any one knows if they solved the HDD mount problem for recording ?
